ps: Pizza can be ordered starting around 6:30pm Music begins around 7:30. We are trying to get you all mostly fed before the music begins so you can just chill and get into your evening.

AND we are looking for a soft spoken singer/s to lead us! please email with suggestions. We are competing (well actually there is no competition-we lost ) with the Highland Games are on that weekend and have scooped up lots of local talent. We hope they have a successful weekend.
And if crowds aren’t your thing, well you can come visit us. We always go overboard for toppings on our pizzas for this night. Expect lots of variety.

The Bali’s have created feature food at the KIPP oven for the past two years and the food was great so they’re back again by popular demand!

So be sure to come on by the oven, bring a chair, your favourite beverage and enjoy a chit-chat while you smell the delicious offerings before enjoying the fresh flavours yourself! First come, first serve!

We are formally inviting you to join KIPP this Friday June 5th for our firestarter session commencing at 6:30pm.
During this workshop you will learn how to make a fire in the oven, all the particulars of how to successfully run the oven and finally cap off the evening with learning to bake your own pizza! We will provide the training, dough, sauce and pepperoni and if there is anything else you would like on your pizza (incl cheese) please bring it with you to curate your own divine slice of heaven (we mean pizza!) There will be a community bake Saturday June 6th morning from 9-12pm.
Feel free to bring your own baked goods to give the oven a spin. If you made some for your family and some for KIPP to sell that would be swell! No pressure. (can you email us to let us know you are coming?)

We are looking for an energetic and organized individual who wants to connect with their community and help coordinate volunteers for KIPP’s 2015 season at the community wood-fired bake oven in Elora’s Bissell Park!
Position Title: Kitchen in the Park Project (KIPPelora) Volunteer Coordinator
Description: Seasonal position coordinating volunteers for up to 10 KIPP events in 2015.
Compensation: The volunteer will receive a $500 honorarium at the end of the season.
Location: Centre Wellington, Ontario
KIPPelora’s Volunteer Coordinator position starts in late May and lasts until Sept/Oct 2015. The position involves approximately 2-4 hours of volunteer coordination and communication work per event, plus optional event support time as your schedule permits. You needn’t attend every event, but must be available to manage volunteer communications in the week leading up to each event. Okey dokey everyone!! its that time of year where we KIPPers got some ducks in a row.
Saturday May 9th we are making bagels!
Huge amount of work involved so we look forward to seeing you at the site! Chef Lee and Chef Michael along with a bunch of sous chefs will be rolling and baking down at Bissell coinciding with the Farm Market opening. We are thinking we will have product by 10am. Not sure on the pricing as yet.

Friday is slated for 26 degrees and sunny. A pure piece of lovely evening delivered right to you down at Bissell Park!!
Consider this maybe a date night perhaps?? Or meet another single person maybe? Or meet your neighbor? Meet everyone! Come and see what you are missing! $5 per person.
Everyone is welcome and plan on getting zizzled up because its for training purposes and getting to know yet another awesome facet of your community, and meeting some new people too! In addition, this training will allow you to run your own event down at the oven! Consider your group needs to fundraise? This is it! Trying to plan a family reunion? Church event? Again, this is an awesome space to do just that!
Ticket sales end Friday at 2pm as we need to make the dough.
Can I just come down and eat pizza?
This workshop is to learn to use the oven. If you don’t learn how to use the oven, you won’t be able to bake your pizza. We will have other nights for pizza eating only. But come on! Lets learn a new skill :D
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
No limits but anyone under the age of 16 needs an adult with them to use the oven.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is ample parking on the east side of the park. Handicap accessible.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Is my registration/ticket transferable?
Yes you may transfer your ticket to someone else for this evening event only. There are no refunds but we will transfer your ticket to the next session if we have to cancel due to weather etc.
