Kipp is excited to announce our first bake of the year this Saturday May 27. We are a volunteer run organization and would love a few hours of your help this Weekend in the morning. No experience necessary just a firm commitment FOCACCIA !! Come and learn how it’s done led by Chef Mike Brennan
KIPPelora is now in its fifth summer of community bakes wow!! We are formally inviting you to join KIPP this Saturday July 23rd at 8am for a primer on how to make sourdough baguettes! (RUNS UNTIL ABOUT 11AM)
$9 per person. REGISTER HERE
During this workshop you will learn how to bake in the oven, make sourdough, roll, proof and tell if your bread is actually baked!!
You can take home a baguette you had a hand in making!
Mike Brennan of the Elora Bread Trade Company (EBTC)
will be leading this workshop.
FUN FACT: Some of you may know Sonia and Calantha of EBTC and they actually MET at a KIPP Baguette shaping workshop many years ago when KIPP was young. WE wonder what will happen if you join our workshop? It could change the journey of your life, for the better, you just NEVER know! They have been huge volunteers for KIPP over the years, and we are so grateful!!
Baguettes will be $5 to purchase beyond yours that is included in your event price… all monies collected by KIPP go back into KIPP to keep it alive, safe and awesome.

Everyone is welcome and plan on getting zizzled up because its for training purposes and getting to know yet another awesome facet of your community, and meeting some new people too!
This is a great opportunity to reach out to that someone you have been meaning to and say ‘hey lets go make bread’ ! Grama’s, Grampa’s, your neighbor or a friend you have been trying to meet up with. Or just come and meet new people!!
Ticket sales end Friday at 4pm as we need to do a lot of prep!!
Can I just come down and watch?
This workshop is to learn to use make bread and bake. For a small workshop fee of $9, you can watch.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Children need to be at least 8 years old, and keen to be there with an adult over the age of 16. If you are over the age of 13 and like to learn about baking, please join us! One adult for every child please :D
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is ample parking on the east side of the park. Handicapp accessible.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes you may transfer your ticket to someone else for this evening event only. There are no refunds but we will transfer your ticket to the next sesion if we have to cancel due to weather etc.

WOOD OVEN PIZZA MAKING WORKSHOP AND FIRESTARTING THIS FRIDAY AT 6:30PM
During this workshop you will learn how to make a fire in the oven, all the particulars of how to successfully run the oven and finally cap off the evening with learning to bake your own pizza! We will provide the training, dough, and sauce and you bring your favourite toppings for the potluck! Last year some of our participants grilled veggies that were amazing! Feel free to um, bring what you can to share! Its a great way to meet new people.
ALSO BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR. We have picnic tables but, well, they are picnic tables, not exactly the most comfy of seating available.
Buy tickets here: $8 ea. all in. Cut off is 1pm Friday so we know how much dough to make ahead of time. Through word of mouth we already have 10 people coming! Bring your neighbour, your mom or a hot date! Everyone welcome. Children need to be over 16 without a parent as they will be baking their own pizza in our oven. If online purchases aren’t your thing, email us to sort.
THEN 12 HOURS LATER—
June 4th: We are going to make Fougasse which is a fancy focaccia! Holy mommas its going to be delicious!! Master Baker Mike Brennan will be on site, with our volunteers designing this mouthwatering delight! Please come down to see what its about and get some for lunch or dinner. YUMMO! Curious and want to come out? Just… come on out! We are dying to meet you!
June 18th: Cultural Food Day -We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting Syrian Refugee Rasheed and his family who will be baking Fataya’s and Tabouli. It’ll be a take out lunch for $10. Proceeds to Rasheeds Family! They are very excited to be able to meet and bake for you! We will have approximately 50-75 portions. It is Ramadan for them, so they will be fasting during this time, but we have sorted out work arounds to make this day happen! A lot of effort is being put into this so we would love your support!
July 9th: Pizza Night with Elora Acoustic Cafe
August 6th: DATE NIGHT.
And just to re-iterate, we call it Date Night because well, its fun to say BUT that also translates to ‘bring your mom, your dad, your bestie’— everyone over the age of 18 is welcome. And we have NICK GUSH and Pam Davies plus their entourage booked for the evening!! yay!

ps: Pizza can be ordered starting around 6:30pm Music begins around 7:30. We are trying to get you all mostly fed before the music begins so you can just chill and get into your evening.
