Our Mission
Imagining a new way to connect through cooking.
An inclusive community space in the heart of this agricultural region — facilitating participation, pride, and capacity-building opportunities for individuals, families, and their neighbours to connect with real food, produced and prepared close to home
Food is the easiest way to gather strangers and turn them into neighbours.
- The KIPP Elora Idea
What We Stand For
Three ideas, baked into everything we do.
A community oven is more than bricks and fire. It's an invitation — to participate, to share, to take ownership of how food is made in the place we live.
i.
Participation over consumption.
Anyone can roll up their sleeves. Anyone can fire the oven. Anyone can leave with something they helped make.
ii.
Food, close to home.
Flour from regional mills, fruit from neighbouring trees, hands from down the street. Short distances make for long memories.
i.
Built by, and for, everyone.
A donated kiln. A sewing circle. A benefit concert. A scrap-metal drive. KIPP Elora exists because hundreds of small gestures decided it should.
